Is the Kanni Puppy right for Khaltsi?

The Kanni Puppy does well in Khaltsi, with one caveat worth knowing up front: crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter. For a loyal, shy, alert, large-sized breed that mostly changes when things happen rather than what happens. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Space and the outdoors with a Kanni Puppy

Space is rarely the constraint here; the routine is what needs attention. For a loyal, shy, alert dog the fit is usually good either way.

Living with a Kanni Puppy in Khaltsi

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Kanni Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Exercise and routine through the cold winter season in Khaltsi

The cold winter season is the stretch that needs planning. Crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Kanni Puppy than intensity ever will. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 16°C in July, so heat is rarely the problem for a Kanni that it is on the plains.

Winter nights fall to about -23°C in January. A Kanni feels that: bedding raised off the floor, a sweater or warm cover at night, and a room kept out of the draught.

There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in February.

No month here is easy on every count for a Kanni, so plan the first two weeks around a cool, dry room rather than the calendar.
