Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Sitimi

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Sitimi, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Grooming and coat care in Sitimi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, a Pointer Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners across the North-Eastern states tend to find this dog a loyal, loving, confident companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Space and the outdoors with a Pointer Puppy

Homes around Sitimi usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. The city sits at about 1,161 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 28°C in June, so heat is rarely the problem for a Pointer that it is on the plains.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C. A Pointer has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from May to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Pointer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
